Located behind The Tannery under Christchurch’s Port Hills, our state-of-the-art factory enables us to combine functional innovation with aesthetic excellence, and our in-house design team will work closely with you from conception to completion, ensuring that the design and production process is smooth and seamless. From kitchens and bathrooms, to laundries, wardrobes, and timber joinery, our advanced machining equipment allows our experienced craftsmen to solve even the most difficult and complex of architectural design problems.
Our work has been featured in a number of magazines, including Archipro, Women’s Day, and Metropol, along with a recent appearance on the television show Grand Designs, and our signature craftsmanship can be found in residential and commercial properties all over the South Island.
Along with our in-house design practice, the team at Sydenham Bespoke Joinery has been working for almost four decades to hone our tender process and we are experts in the business of compliance. While the premises may have changed to enable us to grow, during the transition to Hillsborough it was very important to owners Richard Jones and Grant Weston that the name of the company remained the same.
Sydenham Bespoke Joinery, which began on a small site near Colombo St in 1983 with Bernie Hunt and John Baker, has always had a reputation for excellence, and while the machinery may have been updated and staff numbers increased, the ethos remains the same, quality materials and expert craftsmanship that will stand the test of time.
