To make working together easy we’ve developed a clear step-by-step process that takes you from the initial consultation to the installation of your beautiful new joinery.
Step 1. Initial consultation
The very first step in the process is to get together to discuss your project. We aim to get a clear understanding of your objectives, the design styles you like, and of course your budget. Whether you have a small or large amount of money to work with, we aim to produce a result that you’ll love.
At the same time you’ll learn what to expect from us and what your joinery production timeline will look like.
Step 2. Design concepts and options
Design is one of our strengths at Sydenham Bespoke Joinery – we won the Kitchen Design of the Year at the New Zealand Master Joiner Awards. So having listened to your objective and knowing the budget we have to work with, our design team will put together exciting design options for you to choose from. At this stage together we’ll also discuss alternatives for things like materials, benchtops, front finishes, and handles. It’s our aim in the design stage to give you a range of options so you can choose what’s most important to you, while remaining within your budget.
We can also work with independent kitchen and bathroom designers to create a seamless and personalised design experience.
Step 3. Design refinement
There is always some to and fro between us and our clients as we perfect their joinery design. This is your opportunity to cherry pick your favourite materials and design elements so they flow through to the final design.
Step 4. Design approval
When you’re 100% happy with the design for your joinery and the cost for its production, we’ll request that you approve our quote. When that’s all signed we’ll refund your design fees and schedule the production of your amazing new bespoke joinery.
Step 5. Production
This is the stage when it gets really exciting. Many of our clients love to be hands-on during the design and manufacturing process and enjoy visiting our factory to see their kitchen, bathroom, or other joinery taking shape.
Step 6. Installation
When every detail of your new joinery has been perfected in our factory it’s time for its installation in your home, either by us or your builder. We have great, long-term relationships with the region’s finest building craftspeople so we can work whichever way suits your project best.
